A number of assessments have been developed for measuring both individual and team Emotional Intelligence. One of the most well-validated assessments—now in a newly revised edition—is the EQ-i developed by Reuven Bar-On. The EQ-i 2.0 consists of 133 questions and can be completed online. It measures EI (Emotional Intelligence) and how it can impact people and the workplace.

After you take the EQ-i 2.0 online, we will email you a comprehensive interpretive report, and you will have an opportunity to speak to a certified EQ-i consultant, who will assist you to understand your report, develop a customized plan, and take action to improve your Emotional Intelligence toward reaching your own definition of success.
You may choose from several possibilities, which result in different reports:
1) EQ-i Workplace Report
This individual assessment is taken online at a secure site. It consists of 133 statements, which you will rate for how applicable they are to you. The usual time to take the assessment is 20 minutes. When your report has been completed, we will send you a copy by email and contact you to review the report and possible “next steps” you can take in an hour follow-up telephone call with a certified coach.

2) EQ-i Leadership Report
- Leadership Dimensions and derailers. The report identifies critical leadership dimensions to develop and derailers for leaders to be mindful of.
- Best practices. Best practices are provided for leveraging EI in common challenges faced by leaders.
- Leadership and organizational implications are explained to illustrate how strengths and areas for development can impact leadership and the influence one has throughout the organization.
- Strategies for action are provided for each subscale on how to leverage strengths and develop areas in a given leadership role.
3) EQ-i 360-degree Feedback Report
This 360-degree feedback assessment is taken online by you and a number of others who provide their perceptions of you regarding the statements in the assessment. The resulting report indicates how your perceptions of yourself compare with the perceptions that others have of you. We will assist you to choose raters in several categories and provide instructions for taking the EQ-360 assessment. When the report has been completed, we will send you a copy by email and contact you to review the report, answer any questions you may have, and assist you in planning your “next steps.”
